Pastel, Pearls, and Lace

So I am a day late, but better late than never.  Over at CCC this week it is Pastel, Pearls, and Lace.  I cased a card from PaperCrafts for this one.  I actually have about 5 made, but this one was the one that best fit the challenge.  (I have been picking rocks for the last few weeks and have not gotten to play in ages!)  I still have to add sentiments to the other 4 and then I will try to add a shot of the others, as they are in purples, blues, and red, pink, and oranges.

I butterfly is from a CTMH set and is the brown in the image, it is heat embossed.  I then took a sponge dauber and added in the color.  Letting the blue and orange on this one mix to get a hint of green.  A simple baker's twine bow and lots of buttons, gems, and pearls.  The blue lace is from my Grandma's stash and fits the color to a T.  Added copper wire to the butterfly for antenna. I did stamp the top of the butterfly on the paper to get the added dept.  (It looks so much cooler in real life!)

Crafty Creations Framed

This week at Crafty Creations we want to see your frames!  Image is from TLC.  Love the fun butterflies and cute branch frame on this image.
I will try to get a better picture, this one is way faded out.  I sponged the background in a soft sky blue.  The greens are colored with spicas.   I sponged the butterflies with cranberry and sunflower yellow.
I cut the frame with spellbinders nestibilies and sponged a chocolate brown.  Layered it and raised it up as well as the butterflies.  Added a hand colored butterfly pin and ribbon to finish it off.

Crafty cReations Challenge

This week's Challenge is Sponsored by   www.adayfordaisys.com .  Below I have used their cute little girl praying image for decorating the gift bag.

This week's Challenge is all Girly!  Ribbons, Rainbows, and sunshine.  I made this name banner for Jason's teacher whom is expecting her first.  Little Louise Marie should be here about the same time that school ends for the year.  I did kid with her that if it comes out a boy he is stuck with a pink and green flowery Banner!

"S"  These were glass beaded flowers that I added a pearl to the center with liquid glass.
"U" I took regular fake flowers, took them apart and added brads to the center and placed a pearl on top of some of them and a large bling brad to the bigger one.  I also added more pink color with a copic marker to the ends.

I colored the image with my CTMH markers and add glitter to the sun's rays for added sparkle.  I used the big flower on the bag to match the smaller ones on the banner and the green ribbon to tie it all in.

CC Challenge and Jake's boo boo

Crafty Creations Challenge this week is Flower Power!  Sponsored by Whiff of Joy Stamps.

I made a fry box for my cousin's little girl for easter.

Pretty simple, used my CTMH Cricut cartridge to cut out fry box, but together.  used the left over paper from cut to make a band for around the box.  I used a scalp border punch to each side and then glued it down.  I cut out a flower and some leaves from the scrap paper as well.   I colored with watercolors and then took a stylus to it to add some depth to it.  I cut a hole where the center was and added some flower centers to the flower.  Then just popped it up with some tape.
Don't worry I added some candy after the pictures were taken;)

Here is my Jake's leg after he got the stitches out on Good Friday.  We still have to wrap it during the day so he doesn't rip it back open, but he is a trooper.  Should be a nice scar for long while.  Maybe he won't be so apt to hide in things he shouldn't from now on.  Yeah right, like that is going to happen.  Haha

Game On at Crafty Creations

I am sponsoring this week over at Crafty Creations this week with a lovely Close to My Heart Stamp Set.  See it below.  Now on to this weeks challenge which is Game On!  This can be any game you can think of sport, board, cards, dice, or the like.
This is a tin holder I found at the craft store.  Meant to hold a large tin shape like a star or heart.
I thought it would be awesome for my little guys to help hold their cards.
I used the new Crusin' Paper Pack from CTMH.  The stamp set is a retired CTMH set.  I stamped with archival black and it covered over the letters beautifully.   Arrow brad is from stash.

Crafty Creations Challenge

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep and does not know where to find them.  Isn't the image just adorable from  Meljen Designs!  They are also sponsoring the challenge on Crafty Creations this week!  So let's see what you come up with for Mother Goose and Friends!
Papers are from DCWV paper stack as is the little saying.  The image is Meljen's, colored with CTMH H20 pencils, spica pens and sparkly flock on the sheep.  I distressed with CTMH inks.  The butterflies are CTMH with ink added for colors.  The pearls are pearl effects from Ranger.  Ribbon from my small stash.

Vintage Dress CCC Challenge

Images are Digi Doodles.  This weeks Challenge at Crafty Creations is Vintage Dress.  I was inspired by a card in Card Maker Mag for the ruffles on the bottom.  I wanted the red to pop so I kept my colors very simple .  Hope you like it and join us at CCC this week.

We had another busy week here in Minnesota.  Lots of snow on Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning, which ment boys home from school on Wednesday.  We were also blessed with the flu too.  It started with Jake on Saturday night and didn't end till Thursday.  All I got to say is I am tired of Snow, Puke and Poop for the week.  Hope to be back this week for Wednesday's new challenge.

CCC Fancy Folds

So I finally made it back to the craft table.  Ahhh it feels like forever!  I had to get a card made for a birthday that Jake gets to attend on Friday for a classmate.  I know my "fancy fold" really isn't all that fancy, but it works I guess.  Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring this week on Crafty Creations, so you will have to swing by to see what the others did with her fab images again.

This one was very simple.  The ship is actually on the paper from DCWV and is pre-glass effected so that made this one a quick make.  Just had to make the card open right to get the boat where I wanted it on the card, thus the fancy fold.  I covered with other flap with the matching paper, sanded all edges, stamped Ahoy Matey and made a gold pirate coin button closure.  Some paper rafia ties it closed.   In the inside I stamped and colored the treasure chest as well as the "Happy Birthday Matey".  I added pearl effects to the jewels on the chest as well as spica gold pens to the coins.

Welcome Baby!
I made this cutie for Brian and Krissy's cutie.  Welcome to the world Liam Bernard!
Liam arrived on Saturday and boy is he a cutie!  I got to hold him yesterday again and boy is he a handsome fellow!

I did add 3 buttons to the lower left corner to finish it off, I just didn't have them with me when I made the card and snapped the pics.
